It is hereby made the duty of the owner or the occupant of any lot or lots abutting upon any sidewalk in the city to cause to be removed from such sidewalks all snow, ice and mud and to keep such sidewalk at all times free from the accumulation of snow, ice and mud. (Prior Code § 9-207.)
