Section R302.3, Exceptions 1 and 2, and Section R302.3.1 of the International Residential Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings are hereby deleted and a new Section R302.3 is added to read as follows:

R302.3 Two-family dwellings. Dwelling units in two-family dwellings shall be separated in accordance with the requirements of townhouses as set forth in section R302.2 of this code.
