Section R101.2 Exception is hereby added to the International Energy Conservation Code and shall read as follows:

R101.2 Scope.

Exception: The energy efficiency of detached one-and two-family dwellings and townhouses not more than three (3) stories above grade plane in height shall be governed by the provisions of the International Residential Code as adopted in Municipal Code Chapter 15.04.
