The Board shall have the following powers and duties:

(A) To assist and advise the Governing Body regarding programs and facilities relating to the parks and recreation programs in Olathe that may include, but are not limited to, park naming policy, swimming pool fee structure, programming fee structure, and review and development of special events; and

(B) To review and recommend projects for inclusion in the five (5) year Capital Improvement Plan, as well as monitor the progress of the parks sales tax initiative; and

(C) To complete and present to the Governing Body an annual report setting forth its accomplishments and goals; and
