Purpose:

To establish a time for adjournment of Council meetings, under normal conditions.

Statement of Policy:

Meetings of the Olathe City Council will adjourn at 10:30 p.m., unless a consensus is reached among the Governing Body to extend the meeting for a specific period of time. An extension of the meeting will be for a maximum of thirty minutes.

Additional extensions must be reconsidered and a consensus reached.

If all items on the agenda have not been discussed within the allotted time, and there is not a consensus to extend, the Council may elect to recess the meeting until a specified time and date, to complete the agenda.
