(a) It is unlawful for any person to operate a bicycle in a careless, reckless, or negligent manner.

(b) Persons riding bicycles shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian on a sidewalk.

(c) Any person violating the provisions of subsection (a) or (b) of this section is in violation of this chapter and shall be punished as provided in Section 10.01.201.

(d) Every person operating a person upon any highway or upon any path or trail set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles or for mixed use including bicycles shall be subject to all of the duties and penalties applicable to the driver of a vehicle upon an accident by Sections 10.01.023 through 10.01.027, inclusive, except as to those provisions of Sections 10.01.023 through 10.01.027 which by their nature can have no application.
