12.12.060 Construction--When Required.

Any person, firm or corporation hereinafter applying for a building permit for any structure may be required by the city planning commission to construct sidewalks on one or both sides of streets adjacent to the parcel of land associated with such building permit, when the city planning commission finds any one or more of the following:
(A) No sidewalk exists and the installation of a new sidewalk will promote safety;
(B) The existing sidewalk is inadequate, unsafe, or in a state of disrepair. (Ord. 26-C § 1, 1968; Prior Code § 9-211.)
