Subsection 507.5.7 is hereby added to the International Fire Code and shall read as follows:

507.5.7 hydrants – color. All hydrants shall be painted and highly visible. Public hydrants shall comply with the color specifications of the responsible water district. Private fire hydrants shall be painted red in color.
