Subsection 901.6.4 is hereby added to the International Fire Code and shall read as follows:

901.6.4 Qualifications of inspection, testing and maintenance personnel. All personnel performing inspection, testing or maintenance of any fire protection system shall be qualified. Where such inspection, testing and maintenance is performed by an outside service company, the company shall be appropriately licensed in accordance with the Office of the Kansas State Fire Marshal.
