2.20.010 Bonds Required.
The following city officers, employees, and persons with positions of trust within the city shall, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, give a good and sufficient corporate surety bond to the city, duly approved, conditioned upon the faithful performance and discharge of their respective duties, in the following amounts:
(A) Mayor - $5,000
(B) Other Members of the Governing Body - $5,000
(C) City Manager - $5,000
(D) City Clerk - $10,000
(E) Treasurer of Olathe Public Library - $10,000
(F) Treasurer of Firemen’s Relief Assoc - $4,000
All bonds required or authorized by this chapter shall be conditioned for the faithful performance of duty and of all acts required by the laws of the State of Kansas and the ordinances of the city, and for the application and payment over to the proper persons of all moneys or property coming into the hands of each such officer and employee by virtue of his office.
