(A) Prohibited Material from Normal Collection. No person shall place anything for collection in the public streets and public alleys of the City except in accordance with the terms of this chapter.

No large dead animals, bricks, concrete, lumber, dirt, plaster, large brush or tree limbs, sand, gravel, large chunks of metal (such as automobile frames), other heavy metals, tires, refuse from construction or remodeling, items over two hundred (200) pounds, or hazardous materials as herein defined shall be placed for collection in the public streets or public alleys. Such items may be collected under the authority and procedure established in Section 6.04.080(C).

(B) Separation of Waste. Solid waste items shall be separated from yard waste, recyclables and bulk items.

(C) Preparation of Waste. Solid waste, recyclables and yard waste shall be placed in the proper containers as required by Section 6.04.060. Tree limbs and brush shall be securely tied in bundles not larger than the limited size established by the City Manager or designee when not placed in bags or other approved containers.

(D) Placement for Collection. On the day the collection is scheduled for any residential premises, or not earlier than 5:00 p.m. of the night before collection is scheduled, City provided collection carts and all items to be picked up shall be placed at the street in front of the premises. City provided collection carts shall be removed from the curb as soon after collection of trash as possible, and no later than 5:00 p.m. the day after the collection day. When not at the curb for collection, the carts must be stored inside the garage or beside the residence.
