Discounting a public claim is the act of a public officer or employee, who in his private capacity either directly or indirectly, purchases for less than full value or discounts any claim held by another against the City of Olathe or a municipal subdivision thereof.

Discounting a public claim is a Class A Public Offense. (Ord. 83-75 § 2, 1983.)
