Best management practices” (herein abbreviated as BMPs) means the schedules of activities, prohibitions of practices, maintenance procedures, and other management practices to prevent the introduction of pollutants which cause interference or pass through. BMPs also include treatment requirements, operating procedures, and practices to control spillage or leaks, sludge or waste disposal, or drainage from on-site materials storage.
